“I saw a stand of white Ashburton Peas on the way to Tom Price the other day.”
“ Hmmm. Are they very common?”
“Nope.”
“As rare as the white Sturt Desert Pea?”
“Probably rarer. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen one, and I’ve been in the Pilbara for over fifty years.”
“Hmmm.”
“Opportunity knocks but once,” said Meg.
“Damn”, I thought.
And so started, a detour of about four hundred kilometres, and an addition to what was going to be a relatively easy eight hundred kilometre drive from where I was staying in Wittenoom to Broome. It was now going to be a 1200 kilometre day, and was going to finish up driving at around midnight. “I’ll have the photos, and forget the pain” I figured.
About Hugh Brown Collectable prints
In recent years, Hugh has begun to adopt an increasingly abstract approach to his work. This is perhaps best evidenced in Hugh's aerial photography. Hugh's Collection Prints are limited to editions of only seven and make for a wonderful addition to the collections of corporate and private owners alike.
