My name is Hugh Brown and I have been photographing the Kimberley and Pilbara night skies for almost 30 years.

I have published nine best selling coffee table books and for much of the past 20 years have been working on projects in some of the world's most difficult and remote places. I have worked in over 30 countries.

I have held major photographic exhibitions in China (Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo) and Africa. In 2020 I was named one of the top 100 Corporate Social Responsibility Influence Leaders by Assent Compliance in Canada for my work promoting and documenting the lives of some of the world's poorest miners.

I continue to speak on matters relating to the wellbeing of, and regulatory environment affecting, global artisanal miners at mining conferences around the world. And my work in this area will be the subject of a major book.

The Kimberley is my home and passion. Which is why my last book on the region was called The Kimberley - Tierra De Mi Alma - Land of My Soul.
